What’s up fellow home theater nuts?

Thanks for coming back to see what the Maxman is up too. Today we are looking at one of my favorite ways to accessorize a home theater system.

Wow don’t I sound fashionable?

Entertainment Centers. Yeah baby that’s what I’m talkin about. I know, I know, I’m always saying that something is my favorite thing, and you’re probably saying to yourself that the Maxman should have a warehouse just to fit all his favorite stuff in it.

To be honest I think I need more than one warehouse cause I have so many fav’s that I could allocate a new one for every day of the month.

Lets look at Parker House today

Now these guys have been around for quite some time now since 1946 to be exact. So I think that it is safe to say that they know a thing or two about making furniture.

Entertainment Center

They do make furniture for all areas of the home but as usual we are just going to focus on what they do as far home entertainment furniture goes.

As far as AV furniture goes we know that there wasn’t a huge demand for the stuff until around about the late 80’s / early 90’s. So it was around this time that Parker House started to gravitate towards producing furniture to help quench the thirst for this demand.

It didn’t take long for them to start leading the way in this relatively new arena of home furnishings all the while making sure client contentment was never sacrificed.

Now Parker House is a family owned company and they have always managed to stay in touch with their roots and are committed to manufacturing quality solid wood furniture (and Veneer’s) in a variety great finishes that are always accented with unmatched meticulous details.

Parker House exemplifies quality workmanship and materials with stunning beauty, ensuring that these furniture pieces will becomes fixtures in your home for many, many, years to come.

Features

It’s obvious that they have an amazing selection of entertainment centers but what I think sets them apart from other manufacturers is a lot of their units are what they call “Expandable”.

This means that if you prefer you can just start with something small and as your home theater system grows you can expand your unit to accommodate these needs. But hey if you’re like the Maxman and can’t wait, just go out and get the biggest baddest unit you can handle.

Another feature that I must touch on with Parker House is they can customize your unit by adding a docking station for your iPod. If you are an iPod fan this makes sense as you can instantly connect to your home theater system and have access to your stored video and audio files at the touch of a button.

Installed iPod Station

Some more good reasons to incorporate this system would be,

  1. You can watch videos or listen to music on any video/audio devices
  2. It includes a video/audio-out jack
  3. You can charge your iPod without the need for a PC (with provided USB Power Block)
  4. The whole unit fits into a 3-inch hole in your console/desk or unit, for quick access
  5. Includes mounting ring that secures your iPod
  6. Comes with a manufacturers lifetime warranty

Maxman Tidbit

I think that some sort of entertainment center will truly complete and organize your home theater set up, and Parker House definitely caters to most if not all with a wide range of materials and finishes. Because they have been in the furniture making business for many moons now you know that they aren’t just a flash in the pan.

Maxman Out.
